Hi Lydest. Thank you so much for your lovely comment, it was really appreciated.
Your pictures are fine Sweety! I place white card on a flat surface and then prop white card up at the back of it, making a kind of backdrop.
Take my picture, then crop the borders in Microsoft Paint before saving the finished picture.
Hope this helps.
Hi Lydest, sorry I am getting back to you so late, but I really had to think about your questions.
First, the method that I use and I am no expert is to always color my lightest shade first, then my medium shade and then my darkest shade. I tend to use at least three colors if not more to do my shading. And the technique I use is that I make my edges curved between my colors so that they are easier to blend. I also think about where I want my light to hit. Nothing really involved. I just think about do I want the lightest part to be in the middle, or the left side of the right side. Then I make sure and leave that light consistently. I then color as stated above and then use my lightest color to blend everything together.
2. Colors is more difficult. There are very few things that I use the same colors consistently. I usually just try to pick things that will match my DP. And you are right, I always pick my DP before I start coloring otherwise I am in big trouble! LOL! However, for skin, I always use, R00 all over then, a slightly smaller halo of E00, and finish up with E95, just around the edges and underneath the nose and eyelashes. I then go back with my R00 and blend everything. For the cheeks I tend to always use E93. Most other things I just tend to pick colors I want.
2a. I also use my cool greys to do a lot of shadowing. Since the first number I believe is the amount of grey in the color, I can lighten or darken a color by using my greys. It also helps to increase your amount of colors until you can purchase more copics. :)
3. To color in the tiny parts with my copics I just try to use a gentle touch. I barely put my marker to the paper. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it doesn't, I use my blender pen to push the color back into my image, since the blender pen actually is a misnomer and in actuality does not blend but repels color.
I hope this was helpful and not too confussing! Please, Please, Please, keep me updated and e-mail me if you are confused or have any additonal questions. Like I said I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but this is usually how I do it!
Sorry I didn't respond eariler, I have been out of town for the last couple day and a half. Thank you so much for your lovely compliments. That is so sweet!I would love to help. I have to warn you though I am no expert. LOL! What would you like to know?
