I am a bookkeeper by day, and a card-making, scapaholic by night. I am 50+ years old, and have decided to go back to school to finish my degree (Yuck, takes time away from papercrafting)...but, when I'm done, I'll command the salary I'm worth. My favorite cards to make are ones with scriptures of encouragement. I send out no less than 10 cards a month to people I've just met, or friends forever. I don't think I've bought a store card in YEARS, since I started card-making. Like most people, I started card-making as an extension of my scrapbooking, and found I loved the instant gratification of seeing something done in such a short time that can be sent off immediately. Most of my cards take 10 - 15 minutes, then others takes hours - especially when I am working with parchment crafting (commonly called Pergamano in the US and Europe.)
Where do you live?
Rittman, Ohio

What is your favorite place to shop for paper crafts?
Too many to name, but the one I keep going back to because they will order stuff for me if I see it in a magazine is Toyrifix in Smithville, Ohio.
Wow ... sounds like you've been a busy lady!! I have no doubt he will cherish your efforts !! No apology necessary ... I followed your thoughts and that's all that mattered!! Have a great day!!
Hi Deb, thanks for being my new friend and thanks so much for the sweet words on my cards. I LOVE doing cards (usually do AT LEAST 1 a day) as you can see on my blog or my gallery over on SCS. I'm fortunate enough to not have to work outside the home anymore and I'm loving every minute of it! Can't wait to check out your work! (I started card making through my scrapbooking too ... 12 albums later I started card making and haven't gone back to my albums since ... some day). Later!!
Hi Debi - We definitely have to agree to disagree - although I love living in a smaller town and hardly ever leave the city limits if I can help it - considering how close we are to Cleveland, etc. - I prefer home. Although, I would like to say I was from Hawaii today - did you get a ton of snow last night too? It's beautiful as long are you are inside! Have a great day, Deb

Hi Debi, so nice to meet you and to enable you, he...he.
I have a "vulcanizer". I put my mold, with the rubber on top, than put it in the vulcanizer. THe vulcanzier had a hydralic press that presses the rubber into the mold and it melts into the open area. After10 minutes it is ready. I than have to mount the rubber onto cushio, than use a scroll saw to cut all the images and verses out. I than assemble all the sets into packages, or mount htem on wood blocks and out them into the bloxes. I have information on all this on my blog right here: http://kellrick.typepad.com/our_daily_bread_designs/2008/04/rubber-stamp-pr.html
