I think that your poem is really good actually! I would take the and out before 'forget the mess' but everything goes together really well :)

I just finished a few holiday open house cards. I'm trying to come up with a poem for a Christmas Cookie Exchange... anybody good at poems? This is what I have so far...

Tangled in Trimmings,
My head is swimming.
Decorating, cooking ,cleaning, baking,
What sweet treats should I be making?
It's time to stop the stress
And forget the mess!
