Hi Tamara, thanks for telling us your story. It is always great to hear a mother and daughter doing something special together. I have 4 daughters and we all love stamping and have great fun with it.

Tamara, that is a wonderful story!! All four of my girls like to scrap, as well as my hubby!! Although... I must admit... I'm a bit protective of my stash, and don't share "everything"! LOL

Welcome everyone - I'm trying to figure this out too! So glad to see everyone is here!
So would you guys like to know a little about Mothers and Daughters Creations? My mom (Linda) and I have been scrapbooking together for about 12 years. I say together, even though she lived in Florida and I lived in Virginia! But everytime we got together we would shop and put a few pages together, and talk about scrapbooking a lot on the phone. At first it was just a lot of supply gathering, but when my daughter was born in 2001 it really exploded into an obsessive hobby! When my son was born a year later I decided to quit my full time job and I became a scrapbooking teacher at a local store. I really loved that job, but as gas prices started to climb it became impossible for me to continue. Mom and I decided to try to open our own store. We knew we didn't have much of a budget to work with, so we would have to start small and add more companies as we grew. We also knew we didn't want to just carry garden variety stuff - we wanted to carry the stuff that we liked and that meant something to us. We wanted a home town feel, even though we are an internet based store. That's why I still put handmade thank you cards with every order! The past year has been a tremendous learning experience and has involved a lot of work, but our little store is our passion and we've loved every minute of it! We still have a lot of big plans for the future, so I hope you'll enjoy the ride with us!
