your welcome! and I am going to look to see which file my husband put it in.
It really is fun to do.
I did some curtain for my Mom's bedroom, where I put a wide band at the bottom of the curtain of the embossed velvet. They just come to below the windows in her room, so you see it as you come in,she really loves them(or so she says!)lol.

Hi cathy,
I use a velvet fabric. then use stamps that can tollerate the heat of an iron( Hot Potatoes) actually if you go to her website hotpotatoes.com,she sells the stamps and the velvet, and there are tutorials on how to do it.
you can paint on it as well, but first you remove the color using a castaway pad.
she also has info on that and the fabric paint.
Her name in Mary O'Neil, I first saw her on the Carol Duvall show that use to be on HGTV....she is a crack up!
you should check out her site, right now she has some kits that she put together to do velvet scarves with, you emboss the velvet for one side and then she has a burnout velvet fabric for the other....Beautiful!
I had done a flower girl basket that my Niece was going to carry in my daughter's wedding,But ...she didn't get married... I'll try to find a picture if you would like to see it.?

Mary, how do you emboss on velvet? Do you use velvet fabric, or velveteen paper? And do you paint it too?

Definitely Minima, and decide if you want 2 columns or 3, as the backgrounds are specific for 2 or 3 and not interchangeable. ;) I have 2 on mine

It was free, so that's part of why I picked it! (Blogger) I would also suggest the "Minima" layout, as I've read it's the easiest for changing/adding other features.
