Oh Kate, I'm sorry to hear about your friend and the death of his/her father. I lost my mom Dec. 16 (10 years ago) and it has and always will have a profound effect on the holidays. Thank goodness you are such a good friend to be their for them in their time of sorrow.

I *just* watched the Brady Christmas!! HAHA!

I'm glad the end is near Loretta!

I've been swamped. My good friend's father died a few day ago so I was there all day Sunday and yesterday for the wake and funeral. I'm so behind. Thank goodness I did my baking and froze my cookies a few weeks ago!

Oh Deb...just like in the Brady Christmas show...you're voice will come back and you will sing like an angel. So sorry that you had to get sick right now though...these things never time themselves, do they. Hugs to all. I'm off work until Jan. 4 and today I'm baking Christmas cookies - ALL DAY! =)

Hello friends! Just wanted to pop in to say hi! I've been getting some beautiful Christmas cards from some of you! Thank you so much! At the rate I'm going I'll have to make Epiphany cards instead of sending out the Christmas ones I already have. Everyone in our family has been sick, and I'm the last to get it. YUCK! I just hope I can sing Thursday night and not croak like a frog!

I have velvet paper from SEI I think.... I will definitely try it. But I would like to try it on fabric too.

SU! used to sell the velveteen paper for this technique. it is GORGEOUS when done!!! a friend of mine showed this to me. I think it is most pretty when done with the rich colors like burgundy and forest or even plum.
