This cool project was originally from Paper Crafts Magazine, October 2006 issue. This shoe just screams diva! I can think of several uses for this template.
Here are some tips on constructing this template. Copy the pattern onto card stock and carefully cut out and trace onto the “wrong” side of patterned paper with pencil. Score lines per template and then erase any pencil marks prior to assembly. (I suggest before gluing together, fold all lines and assemble the shape to assure fit.) I used 1/8” red line tape and sparingly placed pieces of tape along the “wrong” side edge of one flap at the top of the toe, one flap at the inside heel, and one flap at the back of the heel. For the sole, you will actually lay tape along the “right” side of the paper at each of those flaps. These flaps will valley fold in place. Once you understand how the shape assembles, the pattern fits quite well together.
Glue the shoe together in this order: Back of the heel (long flap), top of toe, front of the heel (short flap), and finally, the sole should nest or drop into place nicely.
I just love these shoes! I made one of my own and I also made an SVG file out of the template so that I could just cut it out on my Cricut with SCAL. If anyone wants to download the SVG file it's available on my blog.
