Friend Requests

If you find someone on Paper Craft Planet you'd like to be able to send private messages to or invite to your groups or events, you can add them as your friend. You can even add a note to your friend request to them. Once you add them as a friend, they'll receive a notification that you'd like to be friends. They can then choose to accept the friend requests and become friends with you, or ignore the request.

To send a friend request to someone on PCP, go to their profile page. Click the "Add as friend" link under their profile photo. A confirmation window will pop up. If you'd like to add a note to your friend request, click the "Add a personal message" link. Some people don't feel comfortable accepting friend requests from people they don't know, so this is a great way to let them know how you might know each other or why you'd like to be friends.

Just a note:
Unscrupulous as it may sound, some people want to be your friend so that they can send you unsolicited mail. We here at PCP can ban members who spam you -- but we don't know who's doing it until "the deed has been done". Making friends online is one of my favorite things about Paper Craft Planet. I LOVE how the online space has made distance irrelevent. I'm blessed to say that some of my closest friends are stretched all across the world - and many of them are people I haven't met! That's a good thing --

Please, don't accept friend requests from people you don't know. Just like in the "real world" -- you wouldn't give your phone number to a stranger -- you'd have a conversation first. Become online friends before you accept a friend request. Make sure that you've interacted with these people in the forums, groups or in our chat room.

If someone sends you spam, the first thing to do is to block that person from sending you messages.

At the bottom of your email message, you will see "To control which emails you receive on Paper Craft Planet, click here." Click on the link and you will be taken to the Opt-Out page. You can choose what emails you like to opt-out of, block all emails from the sender, or stop receiving all emails from Paper Craft Planet.

Next, please email me! I will ban that person right away. Banning a member removes their profile and all of their content from Paper Craft Planet, including profile comments they've left for other members.
