Paper Craft Planet

Paper Crafting, Rubber Stamping, Scrapbooking, and more

I changed my e-mail slightly due to spammers, but PCP won't let me use it.
When I go into my profile to change my e-mail, it tells me it's already in use! Yes, because I set it up!
Why can't I access the new e-mail address please?

I'd like you to reach out directly to the tech team at www.help.ning.com. They should be able to look behind the scenes and get you fixed up. Please let me know that they fixed you up!

Hi Susanna! I am experiencing the same problem. Changed my email address because we changed internet providers. I am not receiving any Paper Planet email at the new address and am about to disconnect the old. It tells me the address is already in use, and like the previous message - that's because I thought I had changed it!! Please help...

Got onto them and all they couldn't grasp the problem at all!
It seems when update and change our e-mail address, they think it's a new account and just keep repeating that the new addy is already in use. I've tried to spell it out in very plain language, but they are not getting it.
I rarely use the e-mail address I started with but can't it seems use my new one unless I start all over again!!
Awwwww

I got an answer -- read below and let me know if you have any questions...

I looked into this issue and I see now what's going on. It appears that your member created a different account on another network on Ning using her other email address. Every account on Ning must use a distinct email, so when she tried to change her email with the account on your network to use the address of her other account, she was told it was already in use. This is technically the case, though not on your network. However, since both networks are on Ning she must use a different email address. She could join either of the networks using her other respective account, but it's not possible to merge a network profile onto a different account. Therefore, the only way to use her alternative address is to deactivate the account on the other network. If this is something she'd
like to pursue she will need to respond back to her previous ticket, 090619-000473, as this has been explained by my colleague, Mariko, and she should be able to help her further.

Thanks,
Brad

If you joined StampTV, for instance, using a different email address, that would have created the problem. I use the same email for all of them. Keeps my life a little simpler.

You are an angel Susanna!! All I have to do, is cancel Stamp TV to be able to use my new e-mail address!

Now why didn't I understand all this the first time round!!
(Plus I didn't know which other site I had joined connected with Ning).

Thank you!

No, you just have to use the same email address for both --

Did it!!! Had to invent a new e-mail address and password on Stamp TV, then I was able to come back here and change this one to my new e-mail address.
I will have to go back to Stamp TV and either re-enter my OLD e-mail address, or de-register and sign up again with this new one. Not too fussed if Stamp TV doesn't work, as long as my PCP one does.
Thanks for your help Susanna!

Went back to Stamp TV. Un-subscribed, then signed up with this new e-mail address. Sorted.

Thanks again

I'm glad it worked out :)
